Holidays!

Mm... Holidays, I love Holidays!  I usually spend my summer in the beautiful south central of Chile, specifically in Vilches which is a rural zone localized in the mountain of Talca, near to Maule lagoon. In general, I spend a half of my holidays in Vilches with my mom and a few cousins and the rest in a beach named El Canelo where I stay with my mom, my dad and my dog.  My family is very relaxed so the things that we usually do is walk into the forest near to the beach (amazing view) and take fun pictures,  also we watch a lot of movies and play cards. We used to take with us some friends but now we prefer be alone because is more relaxing and less preoccupations.
My last holidays were great, I spend two weeks in Vilches and I knew a lot of new and nice places, it was like an adventure and I really enjoyed the nature and the fresh air. I thought that I will spend my next vacations at the same place, but the plan changed for better. I´m going to go to the Patagonia of Chile doing a tour for Torres del Paine, Tierra del Fuego, Puerto Natales among others. I never had been in a place like that so I´m very happy and eager. For some references, I know that Torres del Paine is very nice like a paradise, you can see native nature and all the pretty colors combining perfectly. To do this trip I had to save money but I also have help from my parents that are happy for this spontaneous travel and the possibility that I have.
I had been thinking a lot about this travel, because I didn’t have anything prepare, for that reason I had to combine my study days with the planning and buying days.
I hope this travel will be awesome and I will have the possibility to take beautiful pictures.

Finishing the term!

Is almost the finish of this strange term and I´m very excited because I hope that this summer will be great with lots of party, new places and, of course, time to relaxing myself.
This year for me had been very long and very tiring and I´m only waiting to have free time to do the things that I want. But first I have to finish the term and I want to do it in the best way. It´s a hard mission but is possible or that´s what I think. Is very difficult to have time to do all my homework and in the faculty one feels an atmosphere of tension.
My classmates and my partners of the University are all with so much work so is a little stressful go to my classes and I should recognize that my computer is becoming in my best friend. I calculate that I had passed the last two weeks, more in the computer than with my family.
But one of the worst things in this term has been the warm ambient and has the tests and work just in three months.  This last week going to be horrible, people will be going from a place to another with tired faces like if they had not slept in days.  Is more common to find partners sleeping in the benches or in the grass, is also common the decreasing of the attendance in the classes and including the teachers are tired.
Finally I just want to pass my subjects in good terms and I´m waiting very eager for February 3th, because is the final day, a party day and the official beginning of my vacations.

Being Green!

Hi everyone, today I`m going to talk about a very trendy and a contemporary topic: being green.
Currently is very common listen about pollution and global warming, also it`s becomes at important topic at TV or at least is a issue that we know more than before.

Is important to know about the factors and consequences of ours daily activities, which can be really harmful to the environment. The first step to try to be green is look for information about different alternatives to decrease our carbon foot print. One of the best options that we have at the modernity is that you can found all the information at internet, so visiting pages like http://www.thegreenlivingexpert.com/ you can have tips about how to be green, the healthy food and a diversity of products environmentally friendly

Now, for me is very difficult to introduce green habits to my life but I always do the try, one of the things that I think is very easy to do  and very environmentally friendly is ride a bike instead off use the bus or the car.  Another possibility and a very good option, is in a little area of land (that can be your backyard) deposit the organic trash, like peel of fruits and vegetables and make something similar to a compost. In the other hand, another activity that you can do is separate the inorganic trash and then take it to a recycling place.  I really want to join to Green peace, in fact, some years ago I was very motivated to do it, but now I don’t have the money neither the time to participate and be really committed with the organization.

The animal are also involved in this topic just respecting them and opposing to any kind of animal violence we are doing a great job, but it`s also important to spread the information and our thoughts to increase the knowledge about environmental issues.

Full of theater!

In January, Santiago receive an important guest from all parts of world in the context of Santiago a mil fest, that involved lots of different presentations of the most important theater’s companies. I love this moment of the year because is the only way that common people can enjoy of plays for free and also can go with their families to share together . This year the fest didn`t coincided with my vacations but I try to create time to see the most of plays that I can.
Some of the plays that I’ve gone to see was “La Victoria de Victor” that was about Victor Jara’s life. The most creative of this play was that you could walk for the street while the play was advancing, and the actors sang as they went along. The soundtrack of the play was in live and the musicians were in a truck with all the instruments and portrayed with clothes related to the play. Another performance that I saw was “Su excelencia Ricardo III”, this play is from Brazil and the actors were great. It’s a clown company and the characters were dancing, playing instruments, singing and, of course, acting. This performance is inspired in a Shakespeare`s book but interpreted like a clown.
Finally, I think this are the things that the government should do but I appreciated a lot the initiative of a group of natural persons that want to bring the culture closer people that usually can’t go to the  theater.

Chimpanzees seem to know what's on other chimps' minds!

Today, I'm going to write about a notice related with anthropology.
The human seems no to be the only one in knows about the thoughts of the other minds. An international study about the social behavior of chimpanzees reveals that the chimps are able to send an alarm of danger only when they know that the others members of the tribe are not conscious about dangerous thing. A video of wild chimps foraging in Uganda's Budongo forest, shows that when the chimp recovered the composure after have seen the snake, he did the “hoos” to put in alert to the rest of the group, but when another chimps discovered and known the danger, the “hoos” were decreasing. The behavior suggest that the animals knows about their partners are thinking and take decisions about the information that he will to express.  This attitude is like they are collecting the differences in the ignorance and the knowledge of everyone else.  Another important reactions is that when a chimp see the snake, may jump like a reaction of fear but only do the alarm after going back for a second look. This represents dissociation between the immediate reaction and the verbal warning. Currently, the experts are doing an investigation about how 33 wild chimps reacted to model vipers placed on paths use by apes in the forest.

Cosmopolitan India!

I’ve always dreamed about to be in an especial country, so if I`ve got enough money, I’ll go to India, is not a small country but  I would like to went all over India. I don’t know so much about this amazing country, but for me is very interesting all the variety of people that you can found there. Different religions and beliefs, the social structure and the markets are some of things that you can see in India. In general the occidental culture is very different of the oriental culture so I think that is the reason of why I would like to go to the cosmopolitan India.
Another think that is very interesting is the sacred cow. In the first term I had to do an investigation about this topic; it was so interesting that I would like to see it with my eyes.
Being there I would like to visit the Buddhism temples and the markets and museums in Delhi.  Also I would like to know some palace and fortress in the touristic country of Rajasthàn one if the most interesting zones of India.  Independently of that, I would like to be imbued of the culture of the country. I just want to travel there, like a travel to learn and enjoy.

The last beautiful movie!

A group of classmates and I are having different sessions to watch interesting movies. One of the movies that we watched was “Bin-jip”, more recognized like “Iron 3”, directed by a famous and talented film’s director named Kim Ki-duk. In general the movies directed by Kim Ki-duk are really beautiful and different of the commercial cinema. “Iron 3” was the first movie that I watched of him and it is wonderful. The dialogues neither are exaggerated nor insufficient, just the right touch of speaking.  Not for nothing this type of cinema is called “cinema of silence”, because the important is the interaction of the actors between themselves and the location. The soundtrack is very important too and the art direction of the movie is spectacular, near to the end of the movie, there’s a memorable final image that makes you be a little emotional.
If you want to watch a good movie, with beautiful images, and different topics I recommend you “Iron 3” or any movie of this Japanese film`s director Kim ki-duk.
